Overview
The push-your-luck dice game. Roll six dice and set aside the ones that score: 1s, 5s, three of a kind and better. Then decide. Bank your points and pass the dice, or roll the rest and try for more. Roll nothing that scores and it's a farkle: every point from that turn is gone. Score with all six dice and you get hot dice, so roll all six again. The first to reach the target sets off a final round where everyone else gets one last turn to catch up.
How it plays
- Roll six dice. After every roll you must set aside at least one scoring die.
- Then bank your turn total and pass the dice, or roll the remaining dice for more.
- A roll with nothing that scores is a farkle: you lose every point from that turn.
- Use all six dice and you have hot dice. Roll all six again and keep building.
- Scoring: 1 = 100, 5 = 50, three 1s = 1,000, three of a kind = face × 100, four/five/six of a kind = 1,000/2,000/3,000, straight or three pairs = 1,500, two triplets = 2,500.
- Combinations only count within a single roll.
- Reach the target (10,000 or 5,000) and everyone else gets one final turn. The highest score wins. Optionally, you need 500 in one turn to get on the board.
- Play online with a phone each (the dice are rolled on the server, and a tablet can show the table), or pass one device around.
